March 2019 Update


Greentop is running a series of classes aimed at anyone who demands a lot from their bodies – sports people, climbers, dancers, acrobats, aerialists and other circus performers.

Free workshop through Making Ways artist-led mentoring scheme, Sheffield based artist Charlie Hill has invited Sally Lemsford to deliver a workshop and give peer support to creative parents/carers.

BBC Arts will launch the first ever #DancePassion digital dance festival in collaboration with One Dance UK, the dance sector support organisation, from 1-6 April 2019, with a live-streaming day on 5 April. Email

Shaheen Baig are currently in the process of casting for a musical feature film made by WARP Films and Film 4, and are searching for dancers from Asian, Middle Eastern, Roma, traveller backgrounds. No professional experience needed, just enthusiasm and interest, this would be a paid role. Any applicants must be based in the UK and aged 16+. If 15, they will need to be 16 by Spring 2019.

A 3-day festival of dance exploring female empowerment and celebrating International Women’s Day.

Applications are open to non-professional inclusive dance groups from across the Yorkshire region. Deadline for applications is Friday 22 March.

In Doncaster we are working with a range of our partners to develop the first Dance and Health strategy for the borough to help #GetDoncasterDancing.
